Lake Inari is a unique part of Lappish, Finnish and European heritage. The lake is a gift that has been given to us to use, but do we have the wisdom to use it carefully leaving the lake unspoiled for future generations?

This book aims to play a part in raising a conversation about saving the unique lake wilderness for future generations – a wilderness where the eagles nest, where you can find bears tracks in the lakeside forest and where the reindeer herders and fishermen still exercise their profession. A wilderness where the mind of the idle wanderer can fly as free as a tern flies high in the mid July haze.
